burned out on late nights smoked down like cigarettes
surviving on the ash and debris from the cities burning out in the west
all of my past lives, they've hollowed out my chest
and my regrets have made a home in the hollow of it
i have visions brighter than atom bombs
behind my eyelids when i dream and i want them to stop
and i feel the weight of the world pressing down on my lungs
but i will go on, uncomfortably numb
it's an odd sharp feeling when we start learning
when we stop running
transfiguration starts burning
i feel growth like a flower drenched in blood
and this won't solve all of my problems but it will solve some
i have visions brighter than atom bombs
behind my eyelids when i dream and i want them to stop
and i feel the weight of the world pressing down on my lungs
but i will go on, uncomfortably numb
we're not sure what should be done
howling in the small hours for the prey that we hunt
we're not quite sure if we're free or we're not
but we will go on until our hearts start to rot
i have visions brighter than atom bombs
behind my eyelids when i dream and i want them to stop
and i feel the weight of the world pressing down on my lungs
but i will go on, uncomfortably numb
